Spring has sprung, and a lot of tidying up has been happening behind the scenes here at the Hawken household. Most of it is invisible to your eye, dear reader, but a couple of things have changed on the internet front.

First and most obvious is the kinda-sorta sudden disappearance of my social media presence. While I could (and should) have executed this with a bit more grace, it’s been in the works for some time. In order to concentrate on work during a particularly intense period, I’ve shut down all those distractions in order to focus completely on writing and editing my upcoming projects.

As of right now, the plan is to return in July with a whole new look, not unlike what happened here on the site. New handles, new content… the works. It occurred to me — again, much like it did here — that I’d misused social media and it lacked the focus it really needed to be effective, both as a tool for work and, frankly, as a form of communication.

So there’s that. I suspect this will affect very few of you. On the other hand, I’ve made a second decision which might be less popular: Sweet Ride is coming down.

Over the past couple of months a ton of people have read Sweet Ride, and that’s terrific. But the torrent has died off, and I think the time has come to transition away until next year, when Camaro #3 drops and I can offer something new.

But all is not lost! I intend to make Sweet Ride available for “free” through Kindle Unlimited, something that up to this point has only been true of Camaro Run. This offer will continue for the foreseeable future, so if you have a Kindle Unlimited account and haven’t read Sweet Ride yet, by all means dig in.

Oh, and to sweeten the deal? Sweet Ride is available free free to all who wish to download until March 27th. Spread the word.

And that’s all the news I have to share for the moment. Soon there’ll be some new info on Camaro #3, and other exciting projects, but for the nonce it’s all hush-hush. See you then.
