It’s been a while since we had an update, so this seemed like a good time to pop up from my gopher hole and give you the latest.

First and foremost: were are one month out from The Moores Are Missing, my collaboration with James Patterson, releases. It will hit July 25th, for those who haven’t preordered yet. And I would definitely preorder, as every one of those counts as a checkmark in my corner. For better or worse (it’s worse), the publishing industry relies heavily on numbers produced by Nielsen BookScan, and even though these numbers are wildly inaccurate, they are the tether which holds an author’s boat to the dock.

The Moores Are Missing, by James PattersonGiven that this is the case, please preorder. And if you want to preorder, but you’d rather get some reviews in front of you, that’s perfectly understandable. It’s my hope that in the end you’ll choose to take the plunge.

The other news is not so great. Not terrible, but not great. It seems Make Them Sorry has been bumped from the Winter 2018 schedule, so we’ll see it no earlier that Q2 of that year. This will mean a good 14+ months will pass between Walk Away and the third installment, but there’s nothing to be done about it. Things take as long as they take, and in the publishing industry that means they generally take longer than you’d think they should.

As information comes in, I will of course share this with you. But right now I’m as much in the dark as you are. I haven’t even seen a cover yet, though I assume someone somewhere is working one up.

And that’s all the news that’s fit to print this June morning. Enjoy the summer which seems to have come early this year, and I’ll will touch base with you soon.
