The Night Charter, by Sam HawkenWhether you’ve already devoured everything about Camaro Espinoza (link) in anticipation of Make Them Sorry (link), or if you’re still trying to figure out if Camaro is right for you, there’s never been a better time to pick up a copy of The Night Charter (link), Camaro‘s first adventure.  Grab a copy for yourself, or maybe get one for a friend who has yet to meet Camaro.  Either way, $2.99 is an attractive price, and only available through today.  The Night Charter (link) was priced at $2.99 all month, but July has vanished with startling rapidity.

If you know anything about me from reading the material on this site, you know I don’t like to claim genius.  My writing might be better than average, but it’s not a revelation.  That said, I can declare with a reasonable degree of confidence that if you enjoy thrillers from the likes of Lee Child, you will get a kick out of Camaro.  So why not give me a shot?

Camaro Espinoza awoke before dawn.  She had fled New York City after the killing of five men exactly 364 days before.

The Night Charter, by Sam HawkenMake Them Sorry (link) is right around the corner, but it’s not too late so see where it all began.  The Night Charter (link) is on sale at Amazon for only $2.99.  If you missed The Night Charter, here’s a chance to catch up at a bargain price.  It won’t last forever, though, so grab your copy while you can.

Camaro Espinoza wants to be left alone.  She keeps it simple: her fishing boat, the Miami coast and the fish.  There’s not much to the charter business she runs, and that’s perfectly fine with her.  Pay her your money, go fishing, and then go away.

When Parker Story comes calling with a night-charter request, there’s nothing unusual about it.  But when Parker’s associate, Matt Clifford, enters the picture, the situation becomes much more complicated.  What Matt wants is a nighttime excursion to the waters off Cuba, where a man’s escape from communist rule is worth a lot of money to the right people.  Some of that money could be Camaro’s, provided she does what she’s told and keeps her mouth shut.  But Camaro isn’t interested in that kind of trouble.

It’s only when the problem becomes about family, specifically Parker’s daughter, that Camaro allows herself to be pulled in.  Because when things go from complex to disastrous, with bodies piling up everywhere, Camaro is the only one who can cut through the chaos and find a solution.  It isn’t people dying that’s the problem, it’s the wrong people dying.  She can fix that.
